Laura comes to Power Presentations with a strong background in marketing, event planning, social media management and communication. She joined the team in 2021 to help with the company’s continued growth and commitment to client satisfaction. As the sales and marketing coordinator, Laura manages a mountain of administrative tasks to ensure things run smoothly. She also helps with online training and marketing efforts including webinar production, tradeshows, social media and website maintenance.
Before joining Power Presentations, Laura spent nine years as the marketing director for the Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce in Texas. Before that, she served as the marketing coordinator for South Texas Health System.
Laura graduated from the University of Texas Pan American with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. She is originally from a region in deep south Texas known as the Rio Grande Valley, but currently resides in St. Louis, Missouri with her husband. She has a penchant for scented candles and artificial house plants (that she can’t kill!) and enjoys watching DIY shows with her husband.

After graduating college, I had a hard time finding something in marketing (my degree), so I was mainly working retail to pay the bills. I started volunteering at Habitat for Humanity and was eventually offered a job in their main office. Since the Executive Director was alone in the office, I was able to help with administrative duties, marketing efforts and planning their first fundraising gala. It was then that I realized that I had a knack for communications and event organization, and I knew I was meant for a career in marketing!
Something unique about me
I love all things 80s (especially music). I have tons of useless and obscure knowledge floating around in my head that only comes in handy when I'm playing a trivia game. People usually want me on their team! I also play guitar, and I used to lead worship at my church back home.
